Published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, Medline is "a bibliographic database containing over 11 million references to journal articles in life sciences with a concentration on biomedicine." The Web site also features information on health, research programs, and other medical news.
PLoS
"The Public Library of Science (PLoS) is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource. The internet and electronic publishing enable the creation of public libraries of science containing the full text and data of any published research article, available free of charge to anyone, anywhere in the world." PLoS launched its own journal in 2003.

ScienceFinder is a collection of notes and links on basic information in several areas of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General) for teachers and students, maintained by Hollingworth High School in Rochdale, England.
UniSci UniSci, International Science News, published news of scientific research online. Due to the unexpected death of founder Dan Radler, UniSci ceased publication in April 2003. However, archived articles from 1995 to 2003 are available.
