In this final chapter on revision you will work almost entirely on stylistic matters. You will focus first on monitoring the length of the sentences you have written. Then you will move on to learning how to vary sentence length effectively. Finally, you will learn to control the rhythm of your sentences. You will do this kind of revision with full paragraphs, and you will also analyze an entire sample paper for length and rhythm. Practice with these techniques will prepare you to apply the material presented in this chapter to your own essays.
