Dominic Delli Carpini is Director of the Writing Program and Assistant Professor of English at York College of Pennsylvania. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the Pennsylvania State University. His most recent research interests include the connections between writing and civic participation (with a special focus on the theories of John Dewey); the uses of writing for professional, personal, and community development; and issues related to the administration of writing programs at small colleges.
