We may be called to write any time, any place, for any reason. In the In the News sections of both the Instructor and Student Resources, we highlight how calls to write appear in current news stories and contemporary issues. For each topic, we’ve provided instructors and students with a brief introduction to the issue and a list of current links.
In the Instructor Resources In the News section of the website, you’ll find suggestions for possible activities that you may wish to use when developing activities and assignments based upon these links. As you spend time with the links, many other possibilities will no doubt occur to you—use these as a starting point. as readings, as classtime-based collaborative writing opportunities, or as the basis formal writing assignments.
