“Before & After” is a very useful published magazine with a web component to which you can get a paid subscription. But to lure you in to a subscription, they have provided several free pdfs on different aspects of page design—dealing with color and typeface choice, for example, or how to design brochures—that are well-designed, focused, and very helpful.
